An all-time crowd favourite, the China Panda coins feature yearly design changes. Since 2016, the iconic China Panda coins are no longer issued in the denomination of 1oz (31.025 grams), but are issued in 30 grams instead.
Each China Panda coin is encapsulated in a plastic capsule directly from China Gold Coin Corp.
This year, we are pleased to bring you different denominations for the China Panda Gold Coin series.
About the 2020 China Panda Coin Design.
On the reserve side of the coin, it highlights a panda chewing on bamboo leaves. The reverse face also shows the coin’s face value 10 Yuan, and the coin’s weight and purity, ‘8g Ag 0.999’. The background of the coin is decorated with motifs of leaves. The face value of the coin, 100 yuan, is engraved just beside the Panda. At the bottom of the coin, its weight and purity is indicated: 8 gram and Au .999.
On the obverse side of the coin, it features an icon of Beijing: the Temple of Heaven (天坛). This is an Imperial Sacrificial Altar in Beijing that has been used as a design for the China Panda coins since 1982 which is the year of its first bullion issue. The border of the coin is written “中华人民共和国”, which is People’s Republic of China when translated. The year of the mintage is featured at the bottom of the coin, which is 2020.
