The reverse kookaburra design depicts the Kookaburra bird This side features a kookaburra bird sitting on a branch next to a spider web.

The coin’s obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse, and the monetary denomination.
